This is a site everybody involved with visuals should visit. MorgueFile.com is a site for free digital photography, whether for corporate or public use.
This is perfect if you need a visual for a presentation or need to print out a picture for a story. I needed a vineyard image for a parable. When I searched for "vineyard," under their simple search, eighty-six images appeared. I found five images that I thought would be perfect for my computer presentation.
Did I mention they are free? Some photos ask to give a credit. Quite a reasonable request, I'd say!
I give the credit to creativepro.com for publishing an article entitled Ten Free Online Tools Every Designer Should Know By Pariah S. Burke

Egermeier's Bible Story Book
http://bibleillustration.blogspot.com/2008/08/egermeiers-bible-story-book.html
Egermier's Bible Story Book is an excellent reference for teachers. The Bible illustration Blog has a nice post on Clive Uptton. He was an artist with a great feel for detail. This book is still selling well and is available through Warner Press.

Bible Stories, Psalms and Prayer for Children
Thanks to Ginger for pointing this site out to me. Here is a great resource for Bible stories and the Psalms. It it well designed and has some fun, cartoon artwork to go with it.

Bible Picture Website.com
One great resource for Bible images is http://www.biblepicturewebsite.com.
This is a company based out of the United Kingdom. They have art available for print or presentations. The style of art ranges from the traditional to an animated look.
It is well worth checking out, especially if you are in a time crunch.

The Beginning
This blog will be designed as a resource for children's pastors, directors and teachers. I serve as a large group leader at my church on Sundays. I know how hard it can be to find visual resources for children's ministry.
I am also a professional illustrator. My experience as a provider and consumer of art for children's church just may be able to help you. Enjoy!
